This international marketing plan was developed for Sintra Flow Riders, a premium mountain biking and adventure training company based in Sintra, Portugal, to support its expansion into the Canadian market—specifically Vancouver, British Columbia. Inspired by the growing demand for eco-conscious, experience-driven outdoor activities, the project aims to help the brand position itself as a leader in Canada’s adventure sports sector.
The plan provides a comprehensive strategy encompassing market analysis, entry strategy, competitive positioning, and an actionable marketing mix. Key features include a five-year phased implementation roadmap, a clear budget allocation of CAD 466,000, and performance indicators to monitor success. The marketing approach emphasizes community engagement, cultural storytelling, and sustainability—core values that align Sintra Flow Riders with the Canadian outdoor lifestyle.
This project was completed as part of the MRKT 627: International Marketing course at University Canada West. It involved a collaborative effort from a multi-disciplinary team and combines theoretical frameworks with practical, real-world application to demonstrate how global brands can scale responsibly and effectively.
